Hello. Welcome to my home page. I am the leader of the
Computational Mathematics Research Group
at the University of Brighton.
I am a Fellow of the
Institute of Mathematics and its Applications
and a member of the Higher Education Academy.
Current Interests
In the past I have worked on computational complex analysis, image processing, expert systems,
neural networks and Celtic key patterns, among other things. But my current research interests are in
stochastic analysis applied to ion distributions in the solar wind, and mathematical finance
and economics.
I teach applied and numerical analysis, and also I am module leader for a module on
the history and philosophy of mathematics.
